"Brooks and Kavanaugh wisely decide to focus on catchiness above all else, which pays huge dividends. These are monster hooks that are designed to invade brains and stay inside for a long time." -- Pop Matters

"Catchy as Hell." -- Impose Magazine

L.A. duo Night Club premiere the video for "Dear Enemy" single from their new full length Requiem for Romance via Yahoo Music. Watch and share the sinister video HERE and on YouTube (cleared for posting.)

Hear and share Night Club's entire new album Requiem For Romance HERE

Requiem for Romance was the #2 Most Added and hit #7 on CMJ's RPM chart, remaining on the chart for over 10 weeks now. The album is a top 15 electropop best-seller on Bandcamp and the UK electronic music site Electricity Club named album track "Pray" in their Top 30 Songs of 2016

The band's score for the newly released feature film Nerdland, starring Paul Rudd and Patton Oswalt was also just released December 6th via iTunes

Following quickly on the heels of their official soundtrack release to Comedy Central's Moonbeam City (Milan Records), Night Club returned October 7th with their debut full length LP Requiem for Romance. The album sees the band moving toward a louder, more bombastic electronic sound.

"It's been a pretty rough year for us personally, so making this record was our only form of therapy," says singer Emily Kavanaugh. "It's the angriest, most introspective music that we've ever made, while still being 'pop' at the same time."

Night Club previously released three EPs: Night Club (2012), Love Casualty (2013) and Black Leather Heart (2014). Requiem for Romance is available on iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, Google Play, Apple Music and Spotify as of Friday, October 7th through Gato Blanco

Radar Eyes premiere video from acclaimed new album 'Radiant Remains', announce L.A. show

"Radar Eyes have left their garagey beginnings behind them in favor of a chiming, dark romantic sound that, with the addition of a paisley shirt and a bolo tie, would fit right in with mid-'80s acts like The Mighty Lemon Drops, Wire Train, or The Lucy Show." -- Brooklyn Vegan

"Radar Eyes combine the fanged severity of death rock with a newfound sense of tunefulness and dynamics. The album’s overriding mood may be despair, but rarely has a band sounded so energized reveling in it." Album of The Day -- Bandcamp Daily

Chicago quartet Radar Eyes premiere the first video from their masterwork new album Radiant Remains today via Impose Magazine. Watch and share the clip for lead single "Community" HERE. (Direct YouTube HERE).

Radiant Remains is available to hear and share via Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Radar Eyes debut a new Los Angeles based lineup playing a benefit for the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center presented by Defend LA at Resident on January 25th, 2017. Tickets and info HERE.

The album's dark, fuzzy post-punk merged with chiming 12-string guitar pop hooks brings to mind everything from Echo & The Bunnymen, The PonysJoy Division, 80s Paisley UndergroundThe Cure, The Church and more. But it's the band's brilliant songcraft that elevates Radiant Remains to a would-be, should-be classic.

Radiant Remains is an excellent jump forward from the band's fuzzy garage beginnings, and what was originally to serve as Radar Eyes's swan song now becomes the signal of a striking rebirth with vocalist/guitarist Anthony Cozzi's recent relocation to Los Angeles in 2016.

Released via new Chicago label Under Road Records, Radiant Remains was engineered by Gregoire Yeche at Electrical Audio and mixed by Adam Stilson. It features an impressive cast of friends filling in on guest spots, including Outer Minds vocalist and organist Mary McKane, saxophonist Bob Johnson, and Touched by Ghoul frontwoman Angela Mullenhour -- who performs a brilliantly theatrical, over-the-top duet with Radar Eyes singer Anthony Cozzi on "A Daughter's Hymn," the album's centerpiece and highlight.

Radiant Remains is available on LP, CD and download as of September 2nd, 2016 via Under Road Records

Irish dark folk/slowcore artist Katie Kim premieres video from critically-praised new album at Tiny Mix Tapes

"A work of staggeringly intense beauty... Cinematic in scope and tectonic in delivery, Salt is a richly rewarding and profoundly intense listening experience." 4/4 stars -- The Skinny

"Salt is intriguing, sharp and bold, and where you could be forgiven thinking Katie Kim already had a solid mastery of inventive songwriting, this is a fairly staggering leap forward." -- Thumped

"An outstanding achievement...Somehow, simply saying that Salt is one of my Records of the Year barely does it justice." -- Echoes & Dust

Dublin, Ireland based Waterford singer Katie Kim premieres the first video from her critically-praised new album Salt today via Tiny Mix Tapes. Watch and share the clip for "Ghosts" HERE. (Direct YouTube.)

Salt is available to hear and share via Bandcamp and iTunes

Katie Kim is the pseudonym of Irish singer Katie Sullivan, who performs slowcore, ethereal, ambient folk/pop. Her third full length album entitled Salt was released on November 11th, 2016.

Salt was recorded in a self-built recording and artist space in Dublin called Guerrilla Studios which has become an integral part of the Independent Irish music scene. Guerrilla has hosted live performance video collective the Practice Tapes as well as being the studio where releases by The Jimmy Cake, Hilary Woods and much more have been recorded.

Salt is a departure from Katie's previous albums and delves further into the drone side of her other releases with textured production added by producer John "Spud" Murphy, who is central to the album's sonic feel. Salt comes four years after Katie's previous album, the critically acclaimed Cover and Flood and it shows an evolution musically.

Since Cover and Flood Katie has toured the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium playing mostly sold out venues. She has also played Union Chapel in London and played shows in New York and Canada.

Katie joined The Waterboys, singing the parts of the dark fairy queen and playing guitar and bass on their WB Yeats tour which lead to a performance on the legendary Later with Jools Holland TV show.

Salt is available on LP, CD and download.

Halycine premiere new video directed by singer/guitarist Chloe Raynes

"A a hazy and dreamy ballad, which sounds a bit like a torch song fed through a Kevin Shields filter, or some of the more darkly romantic material from Dum Dum Girls." -- Treble

"Spontaneously calling to mind both Bethany Cosentino and Jenny Lewis... comes to life through gutsy guitar lines and soothing vocal harmonies." -- Impose Magazine

NYC band Halycine premiere a new video for the song "Elixir" from their debut release today via TrebleZine. The clip, directed by singer/guitarist Chloe Raynes, is available to watch and share HERE. (Direct Vimeo and YouTube.)

Impose Magazine recently premiered the video for the dark David Lynch style tale of frenemies, hatred and deceit in "One More Try". Watch and share HERE. (Direct Vimeo & YouTube).

Halycine released their debut, In The Salt in August and it's available to hear and share on Soundcloud and Bandcamp

Halycine, the moniker for the solo project of singer/guitarist Chloe Raynes, is a fresh new voice in indie rock. Her debut EP, In The Salt, is a collection of 5 songs that she wrote and produced, and 3 videos that she directed.

Chloe previously co-fronted NYC's rock outfit Blue & Gold before embarking on the new project that would become Halycine. In The Salt is a luscious blend of reverberating guitars and spacious vocals. It's a sonically imaginative and and lyrically vivid collection of deeply affecting songs. The EP was tracked and mixed at The End in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with GG Gonzalez on drums and Derek Cabrera on bass.

After hearing Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for the first time at 10-years-old, she decided that she had no choice but to pick up the guitar and begin shredding. Her life was forever changed, and she's been playing and writing songs ever since.

Chloe studied music composition at the arctic campus of Bates College in Maine. She managed to get through the long winters with a soundtrack of Liz Phair, Sleater-Kinney, and Sublime. She moved to NYC shortly after graduation, absorbing the sights and sounds that would eventually shape her musical sensibilities. Other musical influences include Dum Dum Girls, St. Vincent, and Jenny Lewis.

Portland "Street Doom" band R.I.P. stream entire forthcoming RidingEasy debut album at Metal Injection

"It's fast, fuzzed-out loud and heavy and will encourage the overconsumption of whiskey and weed." -- CvltNation

"It's anything but your standard doom record. R.I.P.'s sonic signature sounds like an old school rock 'n' roll band that takes its cues from the likes of Dead Kennedys and Ghoul." -- Metal Injection

Portland, OR quartet R.I.P. are streaming their forthcoming debut in full all this week over at Metal Injection. The band's head banging album In The Wind is available to hear and share HERE. (Direct Soundcloud.)

R.I.P. hit the road yet again this week for a few shows with new labelmates The Well as well as Rise Above Records' Beastmaker. Please see complete dates below.

Operating on the belief that heavy metal didn't come from the forest or beam down from outer space, but rather that it crawled up out of the sewer and writhed to life in the grit and grime of the streets, the four rock 'n' roll freaks of R.I.P. call their sound "Street Doom" and spread the message with heavy touring across the United States. Obsessed with death and disgusted with the scene, they dragged their knuckles into the studio in 2016 and excavated a debut LP dedicated to fear and trembling, calling it In The Wind

R.I.P. is defined by fast, regressive riffs, terrified vocals, live shows akin to near-death experiences, and steadfast adherence to the notion that doom isn't how slow or de-tuned you can play, but the combination of fear, death, and leather. In The Wind is just the right level of down 'n' dirty guttural rock that cuts and chews with raw fury.

In The Wind will be available everywhere on LP, CD and download on December 9th, 2016 via RidingEasy Records
