HARBOURED cover The Faint on new single from forthcoming sophomore album on Lost Future Records

"Brings the post-rock energy... Much like its video, 'Impermanent Cell' is a mote of light in an otherwise endlessly dark room, projecting itself into the void forever." -- Metal Injection

“The quality of the musicianship is flawlessly brilliant, the songwriting tight and concise, the breadth of scope a refreshing alternative to a lot of the blinkered offerings around.” – Echoes & Dust

“A potent mix of post-black metal fury and heavy ’90s alt rock emotional passion.” — Decibel Magazine

"Pulls tech-death and ambient black metal into a strange collision with indie rock." -- Psychedelic Baby

"A record that promises depth, warmth and a quietly devastating sense of honesty." -- Metal Epidemic

Denver, CO trio Harboured share a new single today from their forthcoming second full length on Lost Future Records. The track is the band's interpretation of "Agenda Suicide", originally written by early 2000's synth punk band The Faint. The song premiered earlier via Echoes & Dust HERE and available to hear and share on all DSPs HERE

Decibel Magazine recently premiered the lead track "Dead Ringer" HERE.

Harboured return with their sophomore album entitled We’re Only The Love That We Lead. Growing as a band in every way imaginable, the trio power through styles and genres with a confident and aggressive stance that declares them as one of the most original acts in the metal scene today. Incorporating elements of tech/death, blackgaze and ambient black metal, WOTLTWL is a journey through the sonic landscape of modern metal, and it is all held together by virtuoso performances from Michael Stancel (Allaegeon), Brandon Michael (Allaegeon) and Cierra White (Oak, Ash and Thorn). The three once again recorded with Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) at Anti-Sleep Studios in Oakland, who brings his live feel and raw energy to these songs.

HARBOURED was formed by Michael Stancel in Denver, CO in 2020 with Cierra White, Brandon Michael and Nick Hennig. Hennig left the band in 2021 and they now play as a three piece.

Artist Notes:

When writing for this record, we really wanted to make something that felt more personal and emotionally attached to us, but didn’t want it to be too “heart on your sleeve”, “oversharing”, or “whiny ex-boyfriendcore”. It took me a really long time to figure out how to disguise these things in a way that felt more unique or less obvious. I’ve always had an interest in engineering and infrastructure, specifically the failures of both, and found I could use these failures as metaphors for the failures we have as people, whether that’s in our personal lives, our relationships, or our morality. I felt writing in that way would let me express myself from the heart, without it just being a bunch of songs about people and relationships, like a million records before.

We also wanted to give our sound a clearer direction. Our first release was more on this darker /“blackgaze-y” sound, and it was great, but I found that this one needed to be something that brings more mood and more depth. I really leaned into my love of alternative/indie bands and brought in elements of that genre into the sound. Often thinking in directions like “what would Pheobe Bridgers do if she listened to Failure and Alcest,” and trying to make something that I love and maybe other people who don’t listen to a ton of heavy music might love too. I definitely feel we’ve made something that we’re all really proud of and that people will really enjoy and hopefully resonate with.

We're Only The Love That We Lead will be available on Limited Edition LP and download on May 29, 2026 via Lost Future Records. Pre-orders are available HERE

AMERICAN SHARKS album Not Dead Yet out now, U.S. tour with Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol on now

Photo: Casey Chumbley

"A frenetic blast of scuzzy, fuzzy rock 'n' roll that's full of raucous, riotous energy." — Kerrang!

"Puts Motorhead's rhythm section, The Stooges' raw power, and Black Sabbath's evil melodies in a blender. For a more modern comparison, it also sounds a bit like Mutoid Man." — Brooklyn Vegan

"A little bit stoner, a little bit punk, a lot a bit fuzz, it is just the right mixture to create that delicious blend of awesomeness." — Nerdist

“Might be considered abrasive if they weren’t also so darn catchy.” – KUTX / NPR

“Their third, and best album… Not Dead Yet hits it just right, American Sharks’ explosive live freakouts finally contained on nine Cheap-Trick-becomes-Green Day tracks of anthemic emotion and neck lacerations.” – Austin Chronicle

Austin trio American Sharks release their first new album in 6 years today, titled Not Dead Yet. The album is now available on all streaming platforms, as well as LP, CD and download HERE (Bandcamp HERE)

American Sharks are main support on the full U.S. tour dates with Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol which began last night in Denver, CO with a sold out show at the Bluebird Theater. Please see all dates below. Tickets for all shows are available HERE

American Sharks is a three-piece band hailing from Austin, TX. Their punk-metal hybrid sound blends pop hooks with blasting-yer-face riffs resulting in something akin to if Weezer went Stoner Rock. Coupled with hook-laden singalong lyrics, American Sharks’ forthcoming 2026 album Not Dead Yet is, well, a breathtaking return.

The band is joined on the album by special guest guitar soloists: Mike Derks (GWAR), Zach Blair (Rise Against), Kyle Shutt (The Sword), David Sullivan (Red Fang), and Leo Lydon (Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol).

Since the release of their 2013 self-titled debut album, American Sharks has toured extensively supporting the likes of GWAR, Clutch, The Sword, Red Fang, Big Business, Corrosion of Conformity and many others. After touring to support their debut album on The End Records, American Sharks took time off to write and record their self-produced follow up album, 11:11 on BMG. After a 5 year break, American Sharks are back (centered around founders, vocalist/bassist Roky Moon and drummer Nick Cornetti) with 9 fast-paced, pummeling tracks.

Not Dead Yet is available on LP, CD and download, released on April 17th, 2026 via Permanent TeethOrders are available HERE
