Üga Büga ("sludge metal w/ a side of BBQ sauce") share new single from upcoming album via Metal Injection

“A saucy slab of proggy sludge metal with a side of barbecue sauce.” — Invisible Oranges

"Get yourself roughed up by riffs! Just try not to break your neck while listening to this." -- Metal Injection

Charlottesville, VA trio Üga Büga share a new single for the title track from their forthcoming sophomore full length LP Valley of The Wolf today. An early listen and review launched previously via Metal Injection HERE. The single is now available on all DSPs HERE.

Invisible Oranges previously shared lead single "Mötorhog" HERE.

Hailing from Virginia, Üga Büga fuses influences like Mastodon, Soundgarden, High on Fire, and The Mars Volta into a genre-bending force of rock and heavy metal. Their forceful sound is matched by fantastical lyrics of post-apocalyptic hog men, sinister wizards, and dual-wielding warriors tearing through landscapes on motorcycles—evoking scenes similar to the worlds of TMNTDragon Ball, and other classic comics and cartoons. Riding high after their 2024 debut album, Year of the Hog, landed on the Doom Charts, ÜGA BÜGA is set to unleash their next chapter, Valley of the Wolf.

ÜGA BÜGA has built a reputation as a sonic outlier through relentless performances across the eastern US. Their high-energy shows have earned them opportunities to open for national touring acts like Nothingmore, Darkest Hour, Castle Rat, King Buffalo, and many more, as well as festival plays such as Does It Doom's Seismic Summer Fest and Doomed and Stoned Fest. Fans and peers have tried to use countless labels to describe their sound, the consensus always comes down to two words: unique and heavy. Their growing presence has led to incredible opportunities—most recently, an international tour in Japan.

Formed in mid-2021, ÜGA BÜGA experimented with various lineups and styles before solidifying their current lineup in November 2022, featuring singer/guitarist Calloway Jones, bassist Niko Cvetanovich, and drummer Jimmy Czywczynski. This lineup infused their own diverse styles into a collection of songs written by Calloway Jones, reshaping them into a cohesive and undeniably heavier sound—one that would define their debut album, Year of the Hog. Now, the band writes collaboratively, with each member’s contributions playing a crucial role in shaping their evolving sound.

Valley of The Wolf will be available on June 5th, 2026. Pre-orders are available HERE

AMERICAN SHARKS share "Bang Yer Head" single feat. GWAR guitarist Balsac, US tour with RBBP in April-May

"A frenetic blast of scuzzy, fuzzy rock 'n' roll that's full of raucous, riotous energy." — Kerrang!

"Puts Motorhead's rhythm section, The Stooges' raw power, and Black Sabbath's evil melodies in a blender. For a more modern comparison, it also sounds a bit like Mutoid Man." — Brooklyn Vegan

"A little bit stoner, a little bit punk, a lot a bit fuzz, it is just the right mixture to create that delicious blend of awesomeness." — Nerdist

Austin trio American Sharks release their new single "Bang Yer Head" today from their first new album in 6 years, Not Dead Yet. The song is an anthemic paean to the Heavy Metal resistance featuring a lead guitar solo by GWAR guitarist Balsac. It launched earlier via Decibel Magazine HERE. "Bang Yer Head" is available to hear and share on all DSPs HERE

American Sharks will be main support on the upcoming full U.S. tour dates with Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol beginning in April. Please see all dates below. Tickets for all shows are available HERE

American Sharks is a three-piece band hailing from Austin, TX. Their punk-metal hybrid sound blends pop hooks with blasting-yer-face riffs resulting in something akin to if Weezer went Stoner Rock. Coupled with hook-laden singalong lyrics, American Sharks’ forthcoming 2026 album Not Dead Yet is, well, a breathtaking return.

The band is joined on the album by special guest guitar soloists: Mike Derks (GWAR), Zach Blair (Rise Against), Kyle Shutt (The Sword), David Sullivan (Red Fang), and Leo Lydon (Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol).

Since the release of their 2013 self-titled debut album, American Sharks has toured extensively supporting the likes of GWAR, Clutch, The Sword, Red Fang, Big Business, Corrosion of Conformity and many others. After touring to support their debut album on The End Records, American Sharks took time off to write and record their self-produced follow up album, 11:11 on BMG. After a 5 year break, American Sharks are back (centered around founders, vocalist/bassist Roky Moon and drummer Nick Cornetti) with 9 fast-paced, pummeling tracks.

Not Dead Yet will be available on LP, CD and download on April 17th, 2026 via Permanent TeethPre-orders are available HERE
