"Brooks and Kavanaugh wisely decide to focus on catchiness above all else, which pays huge dividends. These are monster hooks that are designed to invade brains and stay inside for a long time." -- Pop Matters
"Catchy as Hell." -- Impose Magazine
L.A. synth band Night Club release for free download their Bad Girl Remix EP today via GhettoBlaster Magazine. The 4-song EP features remixes of the band's latest single by electronic music legend Rusty Egan (of synth-pop band Visage and founder of London's Blitz Club), Big Time Kill, Jim Stout (Nebula Nine) and YAYAH the Artist. The EP is available to hear and share HERE. (Direct Soundcloud and Bandcamp).
Night Club will be launching their fall tour in two different cities on the same day, Friday October 7th, with a 2am performance at Oscillator Party (Los Angeles) and a performance later that night at The DNA Lounge (San Francisco). Please see all tour dates below.
Hot off the heels of their official soundtrack release to Comedy Central's Moonbeam City (Milan Records), Night Club returns with the free remix EP which sees the band moving toward a darker electronic sound.
"Bad Girl", the first single from the duo's upcoming Requiem for Romance LP (release date 10/07/16), showcases a new direction for the band by embodying a louder, darker, bombastic sound.
"It was a natural direction for us to take as we became influenced by our live sound becoming much more noisy and aggressive than how our records would sound," says singer Emily Kavanaugh.
Night Club released their self titled debut EP in 2012. The same year, the band had their debut radio appearance on famed DJ Rodney Bingenheimer’s Rodney on the Roq. The band released follow up EPs Love Casualty (2013) and Black Leather Heart in (2014). Night Club’s music has appeared in multiple television shows and the band composed all the music for the Comedy Central show Moonbeam City (featuring Rob Lowe) and the feature film Nerdland (featuring Paul Rudd).
