Quin Galavis premieres track from upcoming double LP featuring members of SWANS, Dead Space, A Giant Dog, etc.

"In the post-Swans 2.0 world, Quin Galavis is a glimmer of hope for aggressive noise rock. Galavis draws on the dark folk and noise of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, as well as the aggressive sonic textures and experimental orchestrations of Swans." -- Tiny Mix Tapes

Austin, TX songwriter Quin Galavis premieres a new track from his forthcoming epic double album, My Life in Steel and Concrete today via Tiny Mix Tapes. The cathartic song "Hand of Light" is available to hear and share HERE. (Direct Soundcloud HERE.)

Brooklyn Vegan recently premiered the confessional song "Glorious Man", available to hear and share HERE. (Direct Soundcloud HERE.)

Quin Galavis has built a strong reputation for producing a variety of high quality music via acclaimed
bands including Nazi Gold and The Dead Space, and through his previous solo work. This double LP is the culmination of not only his music career, but his entire life to this point at 31 years of age. It tells a story, which closes a chapter on Quin's career and life, and yet lays the groundwork for future musical journeys that are only hinted at here.

Those that have seen his recent live performances of some of the songs on this release, or have heard this recording, usually make remarks that include words like "emotional", "dark", "wonderful", "beautiful", and "scary." It's not just a rock and roll record, although there are plenty of rock songs here. It's not an opera, although certainly the story and the songs will evoke an emotional reaction similar to that of a well-loved opera. Quin himself describes the recording as "therapeutic", and he
promises to continue this journey in his future work.

For this recording Quin obtained the services of numerous well respected musicians including Thor Harris (Swans, Shearwater, Nazi Gold, Thor and Friends, etc.) and Sabrina Ellis (A Giant Dog), and too many others to name here. It was engineered by Ian Rundell (multiple albums by Spray Paint among others), and it was mastered by Seth Gibbs.

Quin has already begun recording another album in July 2016, and he just launched a new website at quingalavis.com which is a great resource for fans to not only keep up with upcoming shows and recording plans, but also Quin's life as it unfolds, because he plans to update his personal blog on the site regularly.

Austin label Super Secret Records says of the release, "We hope you enjoy the first step in this new journey Quin has undertaken; we're confident you will want to follow his story closely as it unfolds in this recording and into the future. We were so enthralled by his story and this recording that we've entered into a lifetime contract with Quin; which is really just a handshake and a promise to continue to release his records as long as he wants."

My Life in Steel and Concrete will be available on 2xLP, CD and download on August 26th via Super Secret Records
