“Immersive, cinematic Kosmiche that boldly goes beyond the Vangelis nebula and into the unknown.” — Echoes & Dust

It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine recently ran an in-depth interview with Olivares and shared the lead single "Halma" HERE
Olivares’ debut album is a sonic journey into the unknown—one where every sound grows and evolves with a life of its own. What started with simple ideas—hooks, baselines, and vibes—expanded into expansive landscapes, driven by instinct and curiosity. Influenced by artists like Pole, Nicolas Jaar, Nils Frahm, and Floating Points, this album is a testament to the thrill of discovery, capturing the feeling of stepping into a new world without knowing exactly where it will lead.
Olivares’ music is defined by textured atmospheres and dynamic shifts, moving with intention—sometimes introspective, other times expansive. It invites listeners into a deep, sensory experience that feels both personal and universal. Working closely with collaborator Vaz Oliver, the album blends elements of electronica, dub, ambient, and experimental music, creating an immersive soundscape that pulls you in.
The album is more than just a collection of tracks; it’s an invitation to step outside of time and space. Whether it’s an inward journey, exploring the mind’s vast corners, or an outward trip into the unknown, Olivares aims to stir emotion and spark a sense of discovery. It’s a soundtrack for exploration—an experience that lingers long after the last note fades, leaving you with a feeling of having ventured somewhere new.
Artist Bio:
Olivares has always lived between worlds—immersed in the chaos of noise rock, while quietly drawn to the subtle complexities of electronic sound. After years of creating experimental rock, it was the deep, hypnotic rhythms of artists like Pole, Nicolas Jaar, Nils Frahm, Caribou and Floating Points that sparked a shift in his creative direction.
What started as an interest in crafting sounds quickly grew into a full-fledged project. With the encouragement of his close friend and collaborator in this album Vaz Oliver, Olivares dove headfirst into the world of electronic music. There, he discovered that instead of crafting sounds with precision, he was more of a gardener, letting his ideas grow organically and take shape on their own.
His music now blends elements of electronica, dub, ambient, and experimental genres into immersive soundscapes—vibrant, atmospheric worlds that invite the listener to explore. For Olivares, it’s less about control and more about discovery—creating a space where sound is free to evolve, move, and breathe.
Olimpiada will be available on vinyl and Bandcamp DL via Broken Clover Records on February 14, 2025. Pre-order HERE.
