Radar Eyes stream forthcoming album in full, play Midwest shows this weekend

"Radar Eyes have left their garagey beginnings behind them in favor of a chiming, dark romantic sound that, with the addition of a paisley shirt and a bolo tie, would fit right in with mid-'80s acts like The Mighty Lemon Drops, Wire Train, or The Lucy Show." -- Brooklyn Vegan

"The band may call the Windy City home, but ‘80s British rock remains their greatest inspiration and the beautiful thing is that Radar Eyes’s music feels completely organic and possessed of kinetic energy. In other words, this isn’t tribute music to a bygone era; 'Midnight Drive' is thoroughly of the present." -- PopMatters

Chicago quartet Radar Eyes are streaming their forthcoming masterwork Radiant Remains in its entirety starting today via Impose Magazine. The album is available to hear and share via Impose and Soundcloud

Radar Eyes play a couple of rare live shows this weekend. The first in Milwaukee, WI on Thursday, then in Chicago on Monday (Labor Day) with labelmates Pink Frost and Brian Case

Brooklyn Vegan recently shared the album's lead single "Community" HERE. PopMatters followed with the song "Midnight Drive" HERE

The album's dark, fuzzy post-punk merged with chiming 12-string guitar pop hooks brings to mind everything from Echo & The Bunnymen, The PonysJoy Division, 80s Paisley UndergroundThe Cure, The Church and more. But it's the band's brilliant songcraft that elevates Radiant Remains to a would-be, should-be classic.

Radiant Remains is an excellent jump forward from the band's fuzzy garage beginnings, and what was originally to serve as Radar Eyes's swan song now becomes the signal of a striking rebirth with vocalist/guitarist Anthony Cozzi's recent relocation to Los Angeles in 2016.

Released via new Chicago label Under Road Records, Radiant Remains was engineered by Gregoire Yeche at Electrical Audio and mixed by Adam Stilson. It features an impressive cast of friends filling in on guest spots, including Outer Minds vocalist and organist Mary McKane, saxophonist Bob Johnson, and Touched by Ghoul frontwoman Angela Mullenhour -- who performs a brilliantly theatrical, over-the-top duet with Radar Eyes singer Anthony Cozzi on "A Daughter's Hymn," the album's centerpiece and highlight.

Radar Eyes is embarking on a Fall tour in support of Radiant Remains, and Cozzi says he expects to have even more new Radar Eyes music written by the end of the year. If this is a new era for the band-which also includes guitarist Russell Calderwood, drummer Nithin Kalvakota, and bassist Lucas Sikorski-this record is a phenomenal way to kick it off.

Radiant Remains will be available on LP, CD and download on September 2nd, 2016 via Under Road Records
